Kate Guziejka is currently in her seventh year as Principal of Spaulding Memorial School. As Principal, Ms. Guziejka is responsible for overseeing and carrying out the school’s mission and vision on a daily basis. Her other duties include supervising and evaluating various school personnel, establishing teaching schedules, establishing school improvement plans, and implementing district improvement plans within the building.

Ms. Guziejka has been an educator within the North Middlesex Regional School District for her entire career, (27 years) Before becoming Principal at Spaulding Memorial, Ms. Guziejka served as Assistant Principal at Spaulding Memorial and North Middlesex Regional High School. Ms. Guziejka was a history teacher and chair of the Culture and Humanities Department at North Middlesex Regional High School before becoming an administrator.

Ms. Guziejka holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and has completed advanced coursework through Harvard University and Fitchburg State University. She is also a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the Massachusetts School Administrators Association.

Ms. Guziejka is the mom to three fantastic kids and spends her free time cheering them on from the sidelines of the lacrosse field,  and spending time at the lake.

Jim will be serving as the "Interim Assistant Principal" for both Spaulding Memorial School and The Squannacook Early Childhood Center this year.  In this role, he will be supporting the Principals, students, staff and families of both schools, so please do not hesitate to reach out to him with questions or to seek his assistance in navigating any of the myriad of possible opportunities or challenges you or your child may encounter this year.

Jim has over thirty years of experience in public education with over 25 years of experience in school administration, including 8 years as Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal at North Middlesex Regional High School (1998-2006).  Though it has been some time, Jim holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, an M.S. in Professional Educator Development from Suffolk University, and a C.A.E.S. in Educational Administration and School Leadership from Boston College.

Jim is married to Janet, his wife of 33 years, and he is the father of four children, with his oldest two quickly approaching the age of thirty (they grow up so fast : ).  For fun, Jim enjoys reading 'old books', watching 'new television programs', and watching his youngest son Will (and anyone else for that matter : ) play Rugby.
