Nursing Staff

Kayla is a board-certified registered nurse for four years. This will be Kayla’s first year as a school nurse in the NMRSD community.

Kayla graduated with a Bachelor's in Health Education from Plymouth State University. Kayla has always had a passion for healthcare, and knew she wanted to educate and care for others. She continued her education and obtained a Bachelor's of Nursing from Regis College, cum laude. At the time of Kayla’s training to become a nurse, she was selected by her classmates and professors during her pediatric clinical rotation for the DEU (Dedicated Education Unit) program. This gave Kayla the opportunity to study and work with pediatric patients very closely with specialized diagnosis and procedures.

Kayla has spent the last four years working in New Hampshire as a Cardiac/Neuro/Medical-Surgical nurse at a busy community hospital. Kayla is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Red Cross, and more recently a member of the National Association of School Nurses. Kayla looks forward to continuing her education with a Masters of Nursing specializing in education.

Kayla has resided in Townsend for 7 years with her husband and two boys. She enjoys spending time with her children and family. Kayla is looking forward to many great school years and becoming a place of comfort for all students.
